Math Fighter is designed to collect as little data as possible. Below is a summary of the data we handle:

3. How We Collect Data

• localStorage: Your audio settings and player nickname are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device unless you use online multiplayer.
• Online multiplayer: When you play online, your chosen nickname and gameplay actions (answers, timing) are transmitted to our game server via WebSocket to enable real-time matches.
• Advertising SDKs: Google AdMob (mobile) and Google AdSense (web) may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. See Section 5 for details.
• Service Worker: The app uses a service worker for offline caching of game assets. No personal data is cached.

4. Purpose of Data Collection

We collect and use data for the following purposes:

• App functionality: Remembering your preferences and enabling online multiplayer gameplay.
• Advertising: Displaying ads through Google AdMob and AdSense to support the free availability of the app.
• Fraud prevention & security: Rate limiting and profanity filtering on the multiplayer server to ensure a safe experience.

5. Third-Party Services & Advertising

Math Fighter uses the following third-party services that may collect data:

• Google AdMob / Google AdSense: Used to display advertisements. These services may collect device identifiers, IP addresses, and usage data to deliver relevant ads. Google's use of advertising data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use their services.
• Firebase Hosting: The web version is hosted on Google Firebase. Firebase may collect standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, access times). See Firebase Privacy Information.

We do not sell your personal data to any third parties.

6. Data Retention

• localStorage data: Stored on your device until you clear your browser data or uninstall the app.
• Online multiplayer data: Gameplay session data is temporary and not stored after the match ends. Player nicknames are not persisted on our servers.
• Advertising data: Retention is managed by Google according to their data retention policies.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: You can view your locally stored data through your browser's developer tools (Application > Local Storage).
• Deletion: You can delete all locally stored data by clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app. For online play, you can remove your cached nickname within the app.
• Opt-out of personalized ads: You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings or by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• Rectification: You can change your player nickname at any time within the app.
• Data portability: Since minimal data is collected and stored locally, you have full control over your data.

8. Children's Privacy

Math Fighter is an educational math game suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The app does not require account creation or submission of personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK Users)

For users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing data are:

• Legitimate interest: To operate the game, provide multiplayer functionality, and ensure security.
• Consent: For personalized advertising, which you can opt out of at any time.

10. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your data, including CORS policies, rate limiting, and secure WebSocket connections for online play. However, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure.

13. Delete Your Data

If you have a Math Fighter account (linked via Google, Apple, or device identifier), you can request permanent deletion of all your personal data. After submitting a deletion request, you have a 7-day cooling-off period during which you can cancel the request. After 7 days, all your data will be permanently deleted, including:

• Your account and profile data
• All match statistics and history
• Leaderboard entries
• Authentication records

If you have an active subscription, please cancel it in your app store (Google Play or Apple App Store) before requesting deletion. Alternatively, use our contact form to request data deletion.
